Allen makes college choice

Grayson Allen announced his college choice on Wednesday. He'll play in the ACC for the Duke Blue Devils.

Grayson Allen opted to end his college recruitment early.

After reeling in scholarship offers from a host of high major programs, Allen, a 6-foot-4 guard, settled on the Duke Blue Devils.

Allen took an unofficial visit to Duke in mid-November. He also visited a handful of other schools including North Carolina State, North Carolina and Florida.

The Riverview (Fla.) Providence Christian School standout won a state championship as a junior.

Allen is Duke's first commitment of the 2014 recruiting class. He's currently ranked No. 39 overall and as the No. 6 shooting guard.
