Looking forward to: The stable of talent that Nike has assembled this year appears to be top notch. Nearly every team has a high level prospect and many have multiple. It's always fun to evaluate prospects in the Nike EYBL setting. Most of the games are competitive and for the most part the kids get after it on both ends of the floor.
I'm intrigued about who will emerge at the shooting guard position. We currently don't have a two-guard ranked among the top 10 players in the country. Nine of Scout.com's top 10 shooting guards will be in Hampton. Will anyone emerge at that position?
Scout.com's No. 2 (Tyus Jones) and No. 3 (Emmanuel Mudiay) prospects are both point guards and both will be in Hampton for the EYBL event. Although they won't match up head-to-head this weekend, there's some serious debate about which prospect is better now and which prospect has better long term potential. I'm looking forward to evaluating and comparing both.
