Small Picking Up Offers

Kendall Small, one of the better point guard prospects in the west for 2015, gives us an update on his recruitment...

Kendall Small, 6-0 SO PG Huntington Beach (Calif.) Ocean View, is a talented young prospect and a few schools have already taken notice of him.

We spoke with Small recently and asked about the schools that have been recruiting him to date.

"I'm hearing from Gonzaga, Arizona, UNLV, San Diego State, USC, Oregon and UConn," said Small. "Gonzaga, San Diego State, Oregon and UNLV have offered."

I asked Small if any school stands out for him.

"No, I don't have any favorites yet," said Small.

Small talked a little about the factors that will be important when he chooses a school.

"The style of play – I like a transition game," said Small. "I'd like to try and stay in the west, but I'll go east if I need to."

I asked Small if he has been on any unofficial visits yet.

"I've been to USC and UCLA," said Small. "Next month I'm going to visit Gonzaga unofficially."

When it comes time for official visits, Small said he has a few schools that he's pretty sure he'd like to visit.

"I'd like to take trips to Oregon and Gonzaga," said Small.

Small said he has a 3.0 GPA and he'll wait until his senior year to make a commitment.

"I want to take all my visits," said Small.
