At 6-foot-4 with a variety of skills, most notably the ability to shoot the basketball, it has been a big spring for Francis, and he has been very happy with his play individually and also the play of his team.
"This spring has been great," said Francis. "I have great teammates with Florida Elite and we have won several tournaments. I am so blessed to have teammates like this."
Recruiting wise, some of the top programs in the country are showing him significant attention.
"Rick Pitino called recently and he offered," noted Francis. "Tom Crean has been to my gym as well. I have Indiana, Florida, Louisville, Washington, Illinois, Florida State, Ole Miss, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, and some other schools."
The offer from Louisville was a big one for Francis. He is very intrigued by the national champs, and says he hopes to see the school at some point.
"That is the school that won a national championship so it is a blessing to have Coach Pitino calling me and telling me I have an offer," said Francis. "I am looking forward to taking an official visit there. They will definitely be one of my top five schools."
Another school being linked to Francis quite a bit is Florida, and Francis is quite familiar with the Gators.
"I grew up watching Florida play because of Al Horford who is Dominican," said Francis. "They won back-to-back championships with him. I think they have a great program and I have watched their games. I think they have a great program and a great coaching staff."
For now Francis has no visits set up, but he is hoping to get those set sometime this summer. Francis did indicate that he hopes to take all of his official visits before issuing a decision.
Currently Francis is unranked, but look for that to change drastically the next time the rankings are updated.
