Wiley is staying close to home

Dion Wiley has made his college pick, and he is staying close to home.

The Maryland Terrapins got great news on Friday morning when shooting guard Dion Wiley pulled the trigger and picked the future Big Ten school. Wiley was a top target for the Terrapins for a while, and now gives them a second very strong pledge in the 2014 class.

At 6-foot-4 Wiley is one of the best wing scorers in the entire class of 2014. He has had an excellent spring for Team Takeover in the Nike EYBL, and does a little bit of everything on the court.

The Maryland Terrapins have seemingly always had the lead for Wiley, and he simply knew it was time to pick them over offers from Virginia, Georgetown, Cincinnati, Miami, and Virginia Tech.

"I had a lot of comfort with Maryland and their staff is very loyal," said Wiley. "I knew in my heart that is where I wanted to go, and I took my time and just knew it was right for me."

Wiley, who attends Potomac (Md) High School, was one of the top players all during the high school season in the Washington DC area, and again has asserted himself as that during the AAU season.

He now joins fellow Washington DC product, and four-star prospect, Romelo Trimble in the Terrapins very strong 2014 class.
