The improvement that Lattin has made in the last year is clear, and Lattin put that on display not only at NBPA Camp, but during the spring with Houston Hoops as well.
"I loved spring ball," said Lattin. "It was one of the few times where I had a lot of responsibility and every time I touched the floor I knew I had to play well or my team would lose. I loved having that pressure. It made me play better, and I became a completely different player."
He continued, "I have definitely become more of an offensive player. I know I have a lot more work to do offensively, but my offensive game has made strides. I have always been a strong defensive player, now my offense is catching up."
Recruiting wise a lot of schools are continuing to show him attention.
Coach Larry Brown at SMU has been very active recruiting the state, and Lattin is a clear priority for him.
"I've definitely talked to Coach Brown," said Lattin of SMU. "He seems like a genius on the floor, and he definitely knows what he is talking about. He has a tremendous coaching staff who are great people."
Also Buzz Williams at Marquette has had a lot of success recruiting the state of Texas, and is starting to pick things up with Lattin.
"Marquette is kind of new to the deal," said Lattin. "They have been talking to me every day and they are telling me I can bring a lot of things to them, and the way their depth chart is set maybe I could come in and start as a freshman. Obviously that is a great thing to hear, but we will just have to find out if that is the right situation for me."
When it comes to visits, Lattin has a few schools in mind, though nothing has been set in stone yet.
"It is still a toss-up right now," said Lattin. "USC, Florida, Oklahoma, Georgetown, and Louisville are all schools we have talked about visiting."
For now Lattin remains open and says he has no timeframe for making a decision.
