Law adds offers, makes impression

It was a good June for Vic Law who added offers and showed what he is capable of on the court.

For four-star forward Vic Law it was a busy June. The Chicago (Ill) St. Rita star not only participated at the NBPA Top100 Camp, but he also made a trip to Italy with an American all-star team to compete over there. It was a great experience for Law who keeps adding offers.

At 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds with long arms, good athleticism, and a solid offensive game, Law is someone who has attracted a lot of college attention. That was all on display in Italy, and Law says the NBA scouts overseas took notice.

"Italy was great," said Law. "Seeing all of the NBA scouts there and we played one of the top NBA Draft prospects from Europe, and I honestly think I out played him and showed what I can do. I talked to the NBA personnel out there, and it was a great experience."

He continued, "Also just getting to see Italy was great. You can read about it, but going out there it is totally different. Everything is just really different so it is a great experience."

According to Law he got some good feedback while in Italy, "The scouts just like my high motor and my ability to shoot on offense. They didn't know I was as versatile as I am on defense. That is something I take in pride in, my ability to guard the other team's best player."

Law had already picked up offers from schools like Georgia Tech, Harvard, VCU, DePaul, Florida State, Oklahoma, Xavier, and others. Most recently it was West Virginia and Creighton that stepped up and joined, and Law had good things to say about both schools.

About West Virginia, he said, "It was great to get an offer from them. West Virginia has been on me a lot. Coach (Bob) Huggins wants me to get down there and see the campus, and it was great to talk to him."

He said of Creighton, "Creighton is great as well. Just their offense, and they have a lottery pick in Doug McDermott. I know they want to fill that void and they have a great program, so it was good to get that offer."

For now Law says he is in no hurry to make a decision, though one could come at any time. He has already made official trips to Harvard, Georgia Tech, and VCU respectively so he has two official visits remaining.
