Last second change for Mostella

Four-star Detrick Mostella will head to the ACC and not the Big XII as expected.

Rarely do kids get out of a signed letter of intent before enrolling at a school unless there is a coaching change, but Detrick Mostella pulled it off. The La Porte (Ind) La Lumiere four-star class of 2013 standout will no longer head to Oklahoma State and instead will go to Pittsburgh.

Mostella, who is the No. 84 ranked prospect in the class of 2013, had an excellent senior season for La Lumiere leading them to an appearance in the National Prep Tournament at the end of the season.

He signed with Oklahoma State in the early signing period, but now has reversed course and signed scholarship papers with the Pitt Panthers. La Lumiere head coach Alan Huss confirmed the decision to pick Pittsburgh.

This is a huge pickup for the Panthers where he will join a fellow four-star Mike Young in the 2013 class. Mostella should be able to compete for playing time right away.
