Hymon ready to choose

Schools won't have to track Marcanvis Hymon in July as he has already made up his mind.

Three-star power forward Marcanvis Hymon has decided that he doesn't need to play things out in July. The Memphis (Tenn) Whitehaven standout will announce his decision at his school on Tuesday.

According to Team Thad AAU Coach Norton Hurd, there is no reason for Hymon to wait around. Memphis, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, and Mississippi State is the final list for Hymon, and soon enough he will be committed.

Hymon plans to announce his decision at his high school at 6:45 eastern time.

Hurd says that Hymon has the offers he wants, and he wanted to get the decision over with before embarking on the July evaluation period.

"I don't know 100 percent, but he just feels very comfortable with the schools," said Hurd of Hymon making his decision. "Those schools have all offered him, and he has all the offers he wants."

Hurd continued, "He has gotten comfortable coaching staffs and I just think he feels right now is the best time to commit."

At around 6-foot-7 and 195 pounds, Hymon is an active and athletic power forward who is getting a bit more comfortable on the wing.
