Always someone who has played on the wing, Davis is hoping to show people this July that he is more complete and versatile.
"I feel like it is an honor to be out here to play," said Davis. "I know I can't take a play off because I am out here to earn a scholarship and get a free college education."
He continued, "I've been working on being someone who plays inside and then out. Me and my father sat down and talked and we decided it was good for me to play inside more."
Recruiting wise Davis has a pair of offers, with several other high-major schools paying close attention to his progress.
Stanford is a school that is looking closely at Davis' game and his academics, and Davis is happy to hear from the Cardinal.
"Coach (Mike) Schrage has been talking to me a lot and talking to me about how they are excited to see me play," said Davis. "I am very interested in the school. It is like a no brainer school if they give me a chance to go."
Across the Bay from Stanford is Cal, and the Golden Bears also continue to recruit Davis very hard.
"I took an unofficial earlier in June," said Davis of Cal. "I liked the atmosphere there. They just changed the floor. I really liked everything there, it was real good."
Another school that Davis has seen is USC, and the Trojans are firmly in the mix for his services.
"I went to the USC camp and I was walking on the sidewalk and I ran into the coach," explained Davis. "Coach (Andy) Enfield came from Florida Gulf Coast where they made a deep run, and I know they sent Coach (Jason) Hart out here to watch me play."
For now Davis is just playing out July and seeing what offers come his way. He is the No. 61 ranked player in the class of 2015.
