McIntosh talks offer explosion

It has been a busy 48 hours for Bryant McIntosh. The Greensburg (Ind) product has been reeling in numerous scholarship offers.

Three-star shooting guard Bryant McIntosh had as productive an adidas Invitational as any player in the country. McIntosh, who recently de-committed from Indiana State, has picked up numerous offers since the end of the event.

For McIntosh it has been a very busy two days. Memphis, Auburn, Northwestern, Xavier, Iowa, Dayton, and Creighton that all offered in the last two days. Florida State also offered before the adidas Invitational.

"It has been a little crazy but it has been fun," said McIntosh of the recent offer explosion. "I am just enjoying creating relationships with all of these coaches. It has been a good experience."

According to McIntosh he didn't quite see this happening, but he is happy he did.

"You never see this coming," said McIntosh. "After de-committing you always question if someone is going to come calling. You just have to go out and play like you are capable of, and that is what I did."

In terms of where he is going to visit, McIntosh has a few ideas, but nothing is quite set in stone yet.

"I know I am going to visit Purdue and Northwestern in August for sure," said McIntosh. "Auburn wants me to take an official but I am not sure if I can do that. Also I will probably visit Xavier since it is close to home, other than that I am not sure."

Purdue hasn't offered yet, but the Boilermakers plan to do so in the next month.

"I had a good phone conversation with Coach (Matt) Painter," said McIntosh. "He told me they are going to offer me when I get on campus. I also spoke with Jack Owens, they are excited to create this relationship and they feel I would fit well in their system."

When it comes to Northwestern, the Wildcats have been putting on the fullcourt press since he de-committed.

"I like Northwestern," said McIntosh of the Wildcats. "They contacted me first and offered me on Sunday. Coach (Chris) Collins has contacted me and Coach (Armon) Gates has been texting me and everything. They are just excited to get me on campus."

Xavier had McIntosh on several times before his commitment to Indiana State, and now they are working to get back involved.

"They talked me when I was younger," said McIntosh. "They recruited me before I committed to Indiana State. It is nice to know that they have interest in me and that they would offer. It will be easy to visit them in August."

After committing to Indiana State early, McIntosh says this time around he will not rush the process.

"I am going to take it slow," said McIntosh. "I am trying to make a couple of visits in August and September and see where things go. After that I will talk with my parents, but we aren't going to rush into this."
