Brennan has options

From the Big Ten to the Ivy League, Alec Brennan is someone with significant options on the recruiting trail.

Three-star center Alec Brennan had a rough go of things due to injury, but he returned for Expressions Elite at the Live in AC event to finish the AAU season. Brennan, who is also an elite student, is one of the more skilled bigs in the country.

"I was hurt most of July, but I was able to be with the team so it was a good time," said Brennan. "We have great guys, great talent, and it has been fun to watch."

At 6-foot-10, Brennan is someone who is just as comfortable, if not more comfortable, shooting from the outside. For now Brennan says he has been working to improve on several areas of his game.

"I have just been working on my shooting and my ball handling," said Brennan. "Also I have been in the weight room. I know I have to get stronger as well."

Brennan is someone who combines basketball ability with being an excellent student, and that is reflected in his school list.

"Pretty much it has been the Ivy League schools like Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and Brown," said Brennan. "Also Purdue, Wake Forest, Davidson, and Boston have been in close contact with me."

Purdue is a school that has stayed in very close contact with Brennan for a while now, and he says he is very interested in the Big Ten school.

"Purdue is a good school and their basketball is definitely a high caliber," said Brennan. "I like Purdue and the coaches have been great in recruiting me."

For now Brennan only knows of one school that he intends to visit.

"I have an unofficial to Princeton in August, but other than that I don't have too much set up," noted Brennan.

At this point Brennan doesn't have a timeframe for a commitment or any leaders. He does however have an idea of what he is looking for in a school.

"I am just looking for a feeling that the campus and the program is the right place for me," said Brennan.
