Blanton is looking at six

Temarcus Blanton, a Georgia native, narrowed his list of schools to six. The next step in his recruitment is setting up official visits.

Temarcus Blanton has six schools remaining.

An athletic wing out of Locust Grove (Ga.) Luella, Blanton has narrowed his list of schools to George Mason, Arkansas, South Carolina, Florida State, Auburn and College of Charleston.

"I sat down with my coaches and I want to play with competition," Blanton said about coming up with his current list. "Competition brings out the best. Where ever I can compete that's where I want to be.

Blanton, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound wing, doesn't have any visit dates set up, but he noted that, that is the next step in his process.

"Trying to set up official visits and visit these schools," Blanton said.

"I don't have any dates set up," he added. "These schools are all trying to set up dates with me. I told them after today we can start setting up some."

During the spring and summer Blanton ran with Winfred Jordan's Atlanta Xpress team. Blanton is a very good athlete. He's plays a tough brand of ball and is a relentless driver. He particularly had a strong weekend during the second July evaluation period at the Peach State Classic.

Blanton is regarded as a four-star recruit in the 2014 class.
