Matthew Fisher-Davis, a 6-foot-5 guard out of Charlotte (N.C.) Christian, informed Scout.com Sunday evening that he's down to Georgia, Virginia, Wake Forest and Vanderbilt. He also noted that North Carolina is involved, but hasn't offered.
"We just thought they were all the best fit for me," Fisher-Davis said about this list.
What does Fisher-Davis like about the four schools that have offered?
Georgia: "I like Georgia because it's a big campus. I like how the atmosphere is. I'll be going down there September. 7th."
Virginia: "They were just rated No. 1 public University in the United States. Academics will be fine and I know some of the guys up there."
Wake Forest: "I like the direction their going and their point guard is from North Carolina. Academically it's a great school."
Vanderbilt: "Vanderbilt academically is a great school as well. Their coach up there is one of the best offensive minds for shooters."
Fisher-Davis said UNC wants to watch him workout in the fall.
"They contacted me and said they are going to come and watch me workout," he said.
"They told me that they are interested," Fisher-Davis added when asked about a possible offer. "We'll see what happens."
To go with his visit to Georgia on September 7th, Fisher-Davis is planning to visit Vanderbilt the weekend of August 28th, Wake Forest the weekend of September 14th and Virginia the weekend of September 21st.
Playing for the Charlotte Nets, Fisher-Davis ramped up his play during the July evaluation periods. Prior to July he didn't have a high major scholarship offer. Fisher-Davis is known for his ability to shoot.
