Jackson makes his pick

Georgia Tech is now on the board in 2014 with in-state guard Tadric Jackson.

Four-star shooting guard Tadric Jackson has been on the national radar since his freshman season. At one point he was a dual sport star, however as time went on basketball became his sole focus. Now the Tifton (Ga.) Tift County star has made his college choice and he will remain in the state.

At 6-foot-2 and roughly 190 pounds, Jackson is a physical wing who can get to the rim and also has shown an ability to shoot the ball beyond the three point line. Also as a kid who is a good athlete, Jackson can defend both guard spots, and has done an excellent job on the AAU circuit.

Jackson narrowed his list down to Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, and Alabama, but at the end of the day Jackson decided it was in his best interest to stay in state and select Georgia Tech.

"I wanted to play in the best conference in the country in the ACC," said Jackson after donning a Georgia Tech hat. "Also it is home and it is in Georgia just in downtown Atlanta."

"I'm just going to go in and work hard and do what the coaches ask me to do," Jackson continued.

This is the first commitment for the Yellow Jackets in the class of 2014 and a big pick up for Brian Gregory and his staff.
