Five-star makes his pick

It was a long recruitment, but now the pick is in for five-star power forward Craig Victor.

It came down to two for five-star power forward Craig Victor. The Louisiana native who will attend Henderson (Nev) Findlay Prep for his senior season, had his list down to LSU and Arizona.

Victor had made several visits to both schools, but at the end of the day he decided to be a Wildcat donning an Arizona hat at his AAU team's season ending banquet.

At 6-foot-8 and 210 pounds, Victor is one of the best combinations of athleticism, strength, and skill from the power forward position in the class. Victor had impressive showings on the AAU circuit as well as performing very well at the NBPA Top 100 Camp in June.

This is also a huge pickup for Arizona given that their frontcourt could get crushed by early NBA departures in the off season from players such as Brandon Ashley and Aaron Gordon.

The Wildcats and assistant coach Joe Pasternack were all over Victor for the last few years, and put themselves in the position of being the favorite for a while. Still LSU made a strong run at his commitment, however at the end of the day Arizona held off the Tigers and snagged the big five-star pledge.

This is the second commitment for Arizona as Victor joins four-star point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright.
