Orange snag four-star

Rumors heading into his official visit put Kaleb Joseph going to Syracuse, and it proved to be accurate.

The Syracuse Orange are one of the forces on the East Coast when they lock in on someone, and that proved to be the case yet again. Jim Boeheim and his staff made point guard Kaleb Joseph a focus, and on his official visit a commitment was made.

"It is Syracuse, done deal," said Mass Rivals AAU Coach Vin Pastore.

Joseph is an athletic 6-foot-2 point guard who is just as comfortable playing the role of scorer as he is of decision maker on the floor. Joseph is a big time athlete who was excellent all July long.

Syracuse beat out West Virginia and Providence for his commitment.

In July Joseph was very complimentary of the Orange, the way they recruited him, and with what they felt he could bring to the newly minted ACC program.

"They are telling me that they have had three lottery picks at the guard spot in the last five years, and they think I can be the next one," Joseph explained. "I know they are a guard oriented team, so it could be a good fit for me."

This is the second commitment for Syracuse in the 2014 class. He joins five-star Chris McCullough giving the Orange an impressive inside-outside duo.
