Baylor adds 2016 pledge

Baylor got off to a quick start with their 2016 class.

The Baylor Bears have made it a habit of recruiting the state of Louisiana. They have done it again, this time in the 2016 class with Mark Vital. Vital is one of the elite athletes in the class and now he is off the board.

At 6-foot-5 and 180 pounds, Vital is an explosive athlete on the wing. He also has a very high motor and is developing with his skill game, now he is off the board and headed to the Big XII.

"Yes sir I have committed to Baylor," said Vital via text message.

For Vital the decision to attend Baylor came down to what he saw in the school.

"It is a good christian school with great academics," said Vital. "Also everyone there seemed like a big family."

Vital also had interest from schools such as Ohio State, LSU, Miami, Notre Dame, and others, but in the end he was most comfortable with Baylor.

Now the next step for Vital is to continue to improve as a wing and develop more of a perimeter game to complement his athleticism and strength going to the rim. Also he has the ability to be a lockdown defender and somebody who can play all over the court.
