Around the Nation: 9/12

In this space we discuss the latest behind the scenes changes to the ScoutHoops.com database, based on stories we publish on the national site as well as stories from network team sites, social media rumblings and other internet tidbits.

1. Michael Gilmore has gained a lot of steam this fall, and the slender forward has set a date for his third official visit. He already has taken in the sights at Kansas State and will travel this weekend to VCU, and in two weeks he'll tour the campus at Georgia Tech.

Miami and others also had been involved, but Gilmore told GoJackets.com that he very well may pick from among the three schools he's visiting. He received a great deal of exposure during the travel season with Each 1 Teach 1, where he demonstrated mobility and encouraging athletic upside.

2. Duke will host Reid Travis this weekend for an official visit. The Blue Devils recently offered Travis and hope to wrap him up while also continuing to focus on the Jahlil Okafor/Tyus Jones package deal as well as other elites such as Justise Winslow and Kevon Looney.

Travis is a high academics, true student-athlete, and one of the toughest and most productive frontcourt prospects in the country.
