Paul White's college decision is in.

The 6-foot-8 power forward of Chicago (Ill.) Whitney Young committed to Georgetown while on campus for an official visit Sunday morning. Whitney Young coach Tyrone Slaughter confirmed the news to

"After taking his second visit he and his family really got the feeling that it was the place for him both athletically and academically," Slaughter said.'

"He said a chance to play in a storied program like Georgetown was too much to pass up and he can see himself thriving in their system," he added.

White had college interest from a host of schools including Arizona, Minnesota, Connecticut and DePaul. He was scheduled to go to Arizona for a visit last weekend, but the trip was canceled.

White suffered a broken arm at the Nike Peach Jam in July. Prior to the injury, he was playing the best basketball of his high school career. White is skilled, can step out and make mid-range jump shots and has great touch around the basket.

White is Georgetown's fourth top 100 commitment of the 2014 class. He joins former Whitney Young teammate L.J. Peak, as well as four-star recruits Isaac Copeland and Tre Campbell to make up their current recruiting class.

White is ranked No. 11 at the power forward position and No. 48 overall in the 2014 class.
