Wacker makes his pick

It didn't take too long for David Wacker to come to his college choice.

One of the better post players in the state of Texas has made a college decision. David Wacker picked the Boise State Broncos following an official visit to the school. A 6-foot-9 versatile power forward/center, this is a solid pick up for the Broncos.

With his size and nice shooting touch, Wacker was courted by schools such as Nebraska, Western Kentucky, New Mexico, and others, but in the end it was his comfort with Boise State that made the difference and led to his commitment.

"Yes sir I am committed," said Wacker. "I will make it official when the coaches come in to my house tomorrow for the visit."

He continued, "It is just a beautiful city and campus. Also it is a great school with great fan support. I think they are an up and coming basketball program headed by Coach Rice."

For Wacker he was looking for the right fit for his game as well as a place he could play at a high level.

"I have an opportunity play right away on a top team team," said Wacker. "The visit just solidified that Boise was the best fit for me."

Boise State made Wacker a priority from day one, and that hard work and consistency led to them earning his commitment. There is no question that Wacker will be one of the more highly touted prospects to enter the Mountain West Conference.

A three-star prospect, Wacker is a very solid player who should contribute immediately at Boise.
