Omar Sherman, of Dallas (Tex.) Prime Prep, made his college choice on Thursday. He's headed to South Beach to play at Miami.
, Scout.com's No. 93 ranked recruit, settled on a college decision late Thursday night.
According to a pair of sources, Sherman committed to Jim Larranaga and Miami. Sherman also strongly considered Wichita State, who visited him at his school Thursday afternoon.
At 6-foot-8, 220-pounds, Sherman has a thick, strong frame. He's equipped with a good set of hands, a go-to hook on the block and he's also capable of stepping away from the paint and hitting mid-range jump shots.
Miami is putting together a strong 2014 recruiting class and with Sherman's commitment their class is ranked among the top 15 class in the country.
Sherman is the second top 100 prospect to commit to Miami. He joins JaQuan Newton, who is ranked No. 55 overall, and three-star guard James Palmer to make up their current recruiting class.
