"I haven't officially announced anything and nothing is for sure, but I am focused on being in the class of 2014," said Johnson.
The 6-foot-1 Johnson had an impressive July with Team Breakdown, and his athleticism, strength, and ability to score are impressive. In fact he landed in the class of 2015 top 100, but now he looks to be going with his natural class of 2014.
With that a lot of schools are beginning to take notice of Johnson.
He continued, "Tennessee came this week, Rhode Island and Wright State did as well. I had an in home visit with Florida Gulf Coast and La Salle recently."
The Volunteers are looking for a little bit more scoring punch in the backcourt, and Johnson is someone who could provide that.
"They are a great program in the SEC," said Johnson of Tennessee. "They are always winning and they have a great system. I just think they have a great program. It would be a great situation."
With Johnson likely to enter college next year instead of 2015, he knows he needs to find the best spot for him.
"I am just looking for somewhere that fits me," explained Johnson. "I am not going to go to a situation that doesn't fit what I do well. I want to go somewhere that will make me a better player and enhances what I do."
