However things aren't always as they appear. On Thursday evening Bluiett decided that UCLA was no longer the right place for him and decided to re-open his recruitment according to his father Reynardo Bluiett.
"Trevon has officially decommitted," the elder Bluiett told Scout.com. "Distance became an issue for him. He has two younger brothers and the thought of being that far from them became a problem."
The 6-foot-5 wing is one of the premier scorers in the class. Bluiett is an elite level shooter, and someone who despite not being a great athlete knows how to make plays and get open. With that skillset he attracted offers from Michigan, UCLA, Xavier, Butler, Indiana, Purdue, Arizona, and others before committing to the Bruins.
Now Bluiett is back on the open market and will likely look closer to home for his college decision.
