The 6-foot Patterson has always been someone who is capable of scoring the basketball, and over the past few years he has shown an improved feel for the game as well. Last high school season his game showed growth at Montverde, and now he is hoping to follow it up with a strong senior campaign.
Over the summer with the Atlanta Celtics Patterson showed improvement as a point guard, and continued to show the ability to score. Seeing that improvement, LSU made Patterson a major priority for the 2014 class.
Both Patterson's AAU and high school coaches confirmed the news that Patterson selected the Tigers on his visit.
This is the third commitment for LSU in the class, and the second in a week. Patterson, a three-star, joins four-star center Elbert Robinson who committed earlier in the week and also in-state product Aaron Epps.
