Still Trying To Narrow The List
Winton Woods has a pretty good backcourt this year with DeForrest Riley and Robert Hite wearing the same uniform. Hite, a 6-0 combo guard, rebounded for a sub par ABCD Camp and finished the summer with a flurry in Orlando at the AAU Nationals.
Now, he's working on getting his recruiting list in order. "It's going alright, but I haven't finished narrowing it down," Hite said. So far, he likes Tennessee, Georgetown, Miami, Cincinnati, Xavier, Dayton and Iowa State. Hite says all have offered scholarships.
"I want to run and get up and down. Press, run and shoot; that's what I like," Hite said. Most of the schools are recruiting him as a combo guard. "I've got to work on my game. There are a lot of good players out there."
Hite can begin taking his official visits as soon as Winton Woods begins classes. He already has achieved a qualifying score on the SAT.
Note: The state of Ohio has been good to the Tennessee program the past few years. Jon Higgins is a junior now in Knoxville and Elgrace Wilborn is a freshman.
