Miller pledges to Colorado

Colorado now has a pair of commitments in their 2014 recruiting class. Tory Miller joins AAU teammate Dominique Collier to make up their current recruiting class.

Colorado already held a commitment from one member of KC Run GMC – Dominique Collier. On Saturday afternoon they picked up another when 6-foot-8, 245-pound power forward Tory Miller pledged to Tad Boyle and his staff.

KC Run GMC coach L.J. Goolsby confirmed the news to Scout.com.

"He told me he basically loved the college campus atmosphere when he went on his visit," Goolsby said. "I think one of the other factors was Dom Collier going there. They have a pretty good relationship. I think that helped."

"Dom was with him there when he was there for his official visit," he added. "That really helped put his mind at ease since he knows someone else going there as well."

Miller visited Colorado the weekend of October 5th. He picked Colorado over Marquette, Iowa and Arizona State. He took an official visit to Marquette last weekend.

"Coach Boyle had recruited him personally pretty hard," Goolsby said. "Tory felt really comfortable with them and the rest of the staff. I think he feels he has an opportunity to go play freshman if he takes care of his business. He's pretty excited about it.

Miller, a standout at New Hampton (N.H.) School, but a native of Kansas City, is regarded as a three-star recruit.
