Ball State lands another guard

Ball State picked up its fourth commitment in the 2014 class on Thursday night.

A native of Canada, Francis Kiapway now attends Oakdale (Conn.) St. Thomas Moore. The combo guard is now a committed prospect after picking Ball State.

"I committed to Ball State tonight," said Kiapway. "I really like Coach (James) Whitford and have a good relationship with him. I think it is the best spot for me."

Kiapway is a big time shooter who thinks he has a chance to come in right away and make his mark.

"I think I can come in and make a big impact," said Kiapway. "I will be a scorer who can make shots and also defend multiple positions on the floor.

This is the fourth commitment for Ball State in the class of 2014. He joins Indiana natives Jeremie Tyler, Rashaun Richardson, and Sean Sellers in Whitford's first full recruiting class.
