Luther is headed to ACC

Three-star forward Ryan Luther made a decision on his future Thursday night.

One of the top priorities for the Pittsburgh Panthers made his decision and it was good news for Jamie Dixon and company.

Allison Park (Penn) Hampton product Ryan Luther decided on the ACC program. Dixon began targeting Luther during the month of July, and after a long recruitment, he picked the Panthers.

"Ryan committed to Pittsburgh tonight," said Maryland 3D AAU coach David Thurson. "He notified all of the coaches involved."

Luther chose the Panthers over offers from Dayton and Duquesne among others.

At 6-foot-7 and around 200 pounds, Luther brings significant versatility to the floor. He is a very good shooter, but also has enough athleticism to guard as well as being a solid playmaker off the dribble. Luther showed his skills against some of the top players all summer long.

By committing Luther becomes the second commitment for Pittsburgh in the class of 2014 joining transfer Sheldon Jeter.
