If there were a version of Jeopardy! in recruiting, Michael Chandler could be an answer to the final question. Only the most seasoned fans would remember that name, but for everyone else, here's a refresher:
He made his first appearance at Scout.com in summer, 2008. A rising sophomore, he caught our eye at the Kentucky Hoopfest. He committed to Louisville as a sophomore in 2009 and continued to gain national momentum. But in the 2010 spring, Chandler and the Cardinals opted to go in separate directions, reportedly due in part to academics.
He delivered his next pledge to Xavier in October of his senior year. But on signing day, he opted not to sign and effectively reopened his recruitment. Which brings us to 2011, when early during his senior campaign Chandler announced in favor of Central Florida.
He ultimately landed in junior college at Northwest Florida, and a modest, yet successful freshman season led to another wave of high-major suitors.
And here we are this weekend: Chandler will visit Oregon and possibly commit to his fourth different Division I program. He'll obviously have to graduate from junior college in good standing, but assuming he makes the grade he'll be a fine addition for the Ducks or whichever program lands him.
