Ray Kasongo, the 6-9 forward who recently quasi-committed to Oregon before backing out, announced his decision more emphatically in favor of the Ducks via Twitter on Friday evening.
In his words:
"It is an honor and true blessing to officially announce that I have committed to the University of Oregon !!!!! #LetsGoDucks"
Kasongo carries the "mercurial" label for being difficult to interpret at times, but his game certainly stands up under its own weight. The native of Canada is prepping at Phoenix (Ariz.) Phase I Academy and is a legitimate high-major talent capable of helping Oregon in its quest to rise within the Pac-12.
The Ducks have prioritized big men in the current recruiting cycle, and Kasongo projects to fill a valuable role for the program.
