Louisville adds athletic post pledge

Louisville is on the board with a talented post pledge out of Europe.

The Louisville Cardinals are continuing to add to their 2014 class, though they aren't doing so in a conventional way. Louisville has expanded their recruiting and gone to the Canarias Basketball Academy for post player Matz Stockman.

Stockman is a talented 6-foot-10 big man who played with Norway recently at the European Under 18 Championships. There he made an impression with his play, and in limited minutes he scored 7.7 points and pulled in 5.3 rebounds.

Like most European bigs, Stockman has to continue to add weight to his frame, but he is seen as someone with a world of potential due to his size, length, and athleticism.

Stockman is seen as one of the better prospects out of Europe in his age group, and the expectation is that he will continue to get improve as a rapid rate as he gets to the United States.

For Louisville this is the fifth commitment in their class of 2014. He joins four-star prospects Quentin Snider, Shaqquan Aaron, Jaylen Johnson, and Chinanu Onuaku.
