Baylor has been atypically quiet on the trail this cycle, as over the past few years Scott Drew frequently has landed the Bears in the middle of some pressure cooker recruitments.
This year's Bears class is far more understated in terms of star power, but Baylor did add junior college point guard Lester Medford to its haul. A 5-11 competitor for Indian Hills (Iowa) CC, Medford averaged 18 points per game for Arizona Western as a freshman in 2011-12. The Tucson native sat out last season and will arrive in Waco with two seasons of eligibility.
He shot nearly 40 percent on threes during his freshman campaign, and undoubtedly his scoring touch helped woo Baylor, St. Mary's and others.
Meford joins high school signees Damiyne Durham and T.J. Maston in Drew's 2013 class.
