Memphis Prospect Johnnie Jackson Has List

It's no national secret that there is good high school basketball in Memphis nearly every year and 2002 is no exception. One of the top players in the city is Johnnie Jackson of Fairley.

ACC, SEC, Big East Interested

Memphis YOMCA standout Johnnie Jackson, a 6-6 swingman, is beginning to look at what schools want to bring him for visits.

He hasn't set up and trips, but could do so in the near future. "I don't have any yet but some schools are talking to be about it," Jackson said. Those schools are said to include Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Virginia and UConn. Jackson isn't sure who has offered at this point.

In July, he traveled with YOMCA. "I liked it but it was complicated. Out traveling a lot was complicated."

Jackson has taken the ACT and he's close to achieving a qualifying score. He could take some unofficials or wait to take official trips, he's just not sure of the plan.

"I think it's going to be important for me to be happy, feel comfortable and fit in. I want to learn to take myself to the next level."
