Zion-Benton (Ill.) senior Milik Yarbrough has helped his team to a 3-2 start to the season. With the two losses being incredibly close games with Evanston and Wauconda.
Yarbrough is focusing completely on his senior season, and one other thing -- academics.
"I am just going to wait out until the first semester is over so colleges can come by, more colleges can come by," Yarbrough said. "I already have colleges coming after me — I just want more to come by as well."
He added, "Then there will be no questions about being an NCAA qualifier or not. So I am just going to wait out first semester and get a 3.2 and then I will be definitely in."?
Yarbrough took a visit to Auburn in the fall and is getting looks from many schools in and out of the Midwest.
"I went down to DePaul a couple weeks ago for the midnight madness, I also went down to Minnesota." Yarbrough said. "No where else lately. I am supposed to go down to Texas A&M and they are supposed to come watch me work out, and Bradley as well. So those are the only things planned right now."
Over the past several years, Yarbrough has improved his game but also his attitude.
"Just the maturity, just me stepping up and being a man. Just focusing and people don't have to tell me about what I need to do," Yarbrough said. "Just me realizing that it is that time, and I am heading into college and growing up."
