Trier Continues to Turn Heads

HYATTSVILLE, Md.--Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.) 2015 guard Allonzo Trier is a blue chip prospect with blue collar work ethic, and he continues to attract interest from some of the nation's top college programs.

HYATTSVILLE, Md.--Washington Catholic Athletic Conference powerhouse Paul VI (Arlington, Va.) outscored Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.) by 21 points in the second half en route to a 75-58 win on Saturday at the National Hoops Festival at DeMatha Catholic High School.

Despite the loss, Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.) 2015 shooting guard Allonzo Trier had a game-high 21 points and five rebounds in the physical battle of two of the region's top squads.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder showed his ability to score in a variety of ways: backing his man down on the blocks, slashing to the hoop and draining shots from beyond the arc. In addition to his versatility, Trier posses a high-motor and a physicality, that has attracted offers from a number of the nation's top basketball programs, including: Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Virginia, and Georgetown, among others.

Trier has also been hearing from Maryland, which is just around the corner from Montrose Christian and also happens to be the alma mater of NBA star and former Mustangs standout Greivis Vasquez
