2016 Intro: Ako Adams

It has been a solid start to the season for class of 2016 guard Ako Adams.

The majority of the attention goes to Romelo Trimble at Arlington (Va.) Bishop O'Connell, but Trimble is far from the only big time scorer. Class of 2016 combo guard Ako Adams is opening eyes with his play, and already has a high-major offer.

At 6-foot-2 Adams is learning to play both guard spots, and he feels his sophomore season is off to a good start.

"The season is going good," said Adams. "We went 0-3 out in Utah, but we bounced back and now we are executing well on both offense and defense."

He continued, "I've been playing good. Sometimes I have been on and off, but Melo Trimble has been looking for me with the pass and recently I have been knocking down shots."

Recruiting wise Adams already has one big offer and some other high level interest.

"I have an offer from DePaul as well as Towson," said Adams. "Also I am hearing from Virginia Tech, Virginia, Maryland, and a few other schools."

According to Adams he has visited both DePaul and Virginia, and likes both schools.

About the Blue Demons offer he said, "I was excited by the offer. It was great to hear from a Big East school and I was just real excited to get that offer."

Also while Virginia hasn't offered, they definitely made an impression on him.

"The UVA campus is great," noted Adams. "It is a huge campus. Also I liked the atmosphere of the campus and the students there were cool. Virginia is also a really good academic school which is good."

At the moment Adams isn't close to making a decision, but he does have a good idea of what he will look for in a school.

"I am just looking for a school that likes to keep the floor spread so I can attack off the dribble and also get my shot off," said Adams.

Currently Adams is viewed as a three-star prospect.
