"So far it has been an excellent season," said Giddens. "We are getting closer as a team, and I am just getting back from a concussion, so I am coming around as well."
At 6-foot-10 and 225 pounds, Giddens is one of the premier defensive centers in the country, and he says he feels his game has been coming around.
"I am blocking a lot more shots and being a lot more active, so I think I am getting a lot better," said Giddens of his season.
Recently Giddens made a visit to Ohio State and he came away very impressed.
"That was an excellent visit," said Giddens. "Coach (Thad) Matta lets the assistant coaches run the team at times and they just have an excellent coaching staff."
For Giddens he knows Ohio State's depth chart, and sees a major opportunity for playing time.
"They have told me they don't have a big in 2015," Giddens explained. "Amir Williams and Trey McDonald will be gone when I would get there, so there is a huge vacancy and they could see me in that role."
One school that Giddens plans to visit in the near future is Arizona, and he likes what the Wildcat coaches are telling him.
"They want to expand my game a lot more and I like that," said Giddens of Arizona. "When I go out there I will just see what the environment is like. I am looking forward to it."
For now with the Giddens the step is going to be narrowing his list down to a manageable number in the near future.
"I will narrow my list down and I will probably release that list this month or next month," explained Giddens. "Originally I was going to go down to 10, but now I will go further and cut it to five most likely."
