"I just committed to Connecticut," Jackson told Scout.com.
"They have great tradition, he added. "It's a great school. The coaches are great people. I love everything about it."
Jackson, Scout.com's No. 47 player, visited Connecticut unofficially in October. Since that visit he's been thinking about the possibility of playing at Connecticut. On Tuesday, he pulled the trigger.
"I've been thinking about it," Jackson said. "All the questions and coaches calling, I didn't see a reason to wait when I know where I want to go to."
Ollie not only built a strong relationship with Jackson, a standout at Athens (Ga.) Christian School, but also with his mother.
"Coach Ollie has been contacting me since the 9th grade," he said. "He has a great relationship with my mother. He's a Christian man. He really cares and I like what he does. I like the intensity he brings."
Connecticut now has a pair of backcourt commitments in their 2015 class. Jackson joins 6-foot-3 shooting guard Prince Ali to make up their current class.
