Diallo pledges to Rutgers

Rutgers added their fourth recruit of the 2014 class on Monday. Ibrahima Diallo pledged to Rutgers.

Winston-Salem (N.C.) Quality Education senior Ibrahima Diallo pledged to Rutgers Monday night.

Quality Education coach Isaac Pitts confirmed the news to Scout.com.

"Coach [Eddie] Jordan and coach [David] Cox did a great job recruiting the kid," Pitts said. "He told me he had been thinking about it for while. He called me today and said ‘coach I think that's the best place for me.'"

"They had been involved," he added. "He went on an official there. He told me he liked it from the start. He got really close to Junior [Etou], the freshman up there. They've been back and forth and talking a lot. He just liked the feel for it."

According to Pitts, Old Dominion, Nebraska, Oklahoma and UT-Chattanooga showed interest as well.

"Obviously coach Jordan with his NBA background and stuff like that, he felt like coach Jordan would make a better player," Pitts said.

"He just told me that he felt all the time that was the right place for him," he added.

Rutgers now has four recruits in their 2014 recruiting class. Diallo joins Mike Williams, Dwayne Foreman and Junior College guard Bishop Daniels to make up their current class.
