Florida State lands JUCO

Florida State is mining the junior college ranks the latest being Kedar Edwards.

A 6-foot-5 wing, State Fair Community College product Kedar Edwards is now off the board and will be headed to the ACC next season. According to State Fair assistant coach Josh Sash, the talented forward made the decision to pick the Seminoles on Monday night.

"Kedar has committed to Florida State," said Sash.

He continued, "Kedar is an elite athlete off the floor with a big time motor. He's tough, he competes, and he can defend multiple positions. He can score in a variety of ways, he can get you double figure rebounds on any night and he is a very good passer with good vision."

On of the things that makes Edwards unique is that he will have three years of eligibility to play at Florida State after this season at State Fair.

This is the fifth commitment for Florida State in the 2014 class, and their third pledge coming from the junior college ranks.
