2016 Intro: Romello White

Sophomore post player Romello White took advantage of his at The Elite Preview this past weekend. The emerging big man is one to watch as the spring evaluation period approaches.

Sophomore big man Romello White was among the breakout performers at The Elite Preview, which was held at Norcross (Ga.) High this past Saturday.

A 6-foot-8, 210-pound big man, White impressed with his activity level. White rebounded in and out of his area, managed to get his hands on shots and finished plays in the paint. White also flashed a nice set of hands.

"I get a lot of rebounds," White said when asked to describe his game. "I drive a lot and get to the basket and I block shots."

During White's sophomore season he averaged eight points and just over six rebounds a game for Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge.

Clemson, Georgia Southern, Tennessee Tech and the previous staff at Appalachian State have shown interest to date. White recently took a visit to Clemson.

"I visited Clemson two weeks ago," White said. "It was fun. There were a lot of people there. The experience was great."

"When we played Wheeler they said they were interested me so I went to go watch them play," he added. "I like their facilities. Their gym is nice and they got a lot of people into the game."

White said he plans to play with Game Elite during the spring and summer circuit.
