McQuaid is racking up offers

Four-star Matt McQuaid says that two schools are recruiting him the hardest.

Four-star wing Matt McQuaid from Duncanville (Tex) High School is one of the top shooters in the class of 2015. He had a solid high school season, and is primed for a big spring on the AAU circuit with Team Texas Elite.

"We did pretty good and proved people wrong," said McQuaid of his high school season. "We went further than people thought before losing in the third round of the tournament, but overall it was a good year."

Known mostly as a shooter, McQuaid is working to diversify his game.

"During the high school season I think I got better off the dribble, and I worked on my pull up jumper a lot," explained McQuaid. "I think that showed during the high school year."

Recruiting wise McQuaid has a handful of offers, with two schools showing him the most interest.

"I have offers from Creighton, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama, Wichita State, and Gonzaga," said McQuaid. "Creighton and Texas are probably recruiting me the hardest right now."

Recently McQuaid made an unofficial visit to Creighton and came away very impressed.

"I took an unofficial there and saw Doug McDermott break 3,000 points," said McQuaid. "It was the coolest place I have ever been to. They have a great atmosphere there and it is a great college."

When it comes to Texas, McQuaid has seen them for a while, and is happy to have an offer from the Longhorns.

"It is cool to hear from Texas," explained McQuaid. "I grew up from Texas and it is all I ever saw. It is just awesome to have an offer from them."

When it comes to make a decision, McQuaid doesn't have a specific timeline, but he does know what he is looking for in a school.

"I am just looking for where I fit best and where I will do best in their offensive system," said McQuaid.

Currently McQuaid is considered the No. 69 prospect in the class of 2015.
