"I am hoping to contribute, work on my body, and just help my team get wins," said James of the spring. "I just want to set people up, take open shots, and then take over when I have to."
According to James he had a very strong high school year, and is hoping to build off of that.
"It went pretty well," said James. "We were young, we only had one senior, but we played pretty well. We could have played better, but we came up a little short against De'Aaron Fox's team."
Recruiting wise a handful of teams are showing James significant interest.
One school in particular that has stepped up is Creighton. The Bluejays had a successful first season in the Big East, and are hoping to really capitalize on that on the recruiting trail.
"I have an offer from them, and I have been keeping up with Doug McDermott a lot, and he has been balling," said James of Creighton. "They are a real good team, and I like the coaching staff."
Another school that has been active is Oklahoma, and the Sooners will be keeping a close eye on him this spring and summer.
"They are just saying that they like me," said James. "They like the way I play, and want me to come up for a visit. They haven't offered me yet, but they said they are going to watch me in the spring."
For now James has no timeline for a decision, but he does have a pretty good idea of what he is looking for in a school.
"I am looking for good academics and a school that will help me get to the next level," said James.
