Canes land forward

The University of Miami got on the board in the class of 2015 with an in-state commitment.

Head Coach Jim Larranaga continues his remake of the University of Miami basketball program on Monday evening when he landed a class of 2015 commitment. St. Petersburg (Fla) Lakewood standout Anthony Lawrence selected the ACC school.

At 6-foot-7 and 185 pounds, Lawrence has the skill to play either forward spot. He is a solid outside shooter, has an ability to handle the ball, and is a good athlete.

On Monday night Lawrence decided to pull the trigger and committed to Miami.

"I just committed to the University of Miami," Lawrence announced on his personal twitter account.

Lawrence is the first commitment in the class for the Hurricanes.
