"He really likes the intimacy of the campus, the coaches and the environment," Mark Kennard, Luke's father, told Scout.com about his commitment.
"Kennard impressed with his overall skill level and ability to score," said Scout.com national recruiting analyst Evan Daniels. "He's versatile and can fill a few roles on the perimeter.
"Coach K loves guys that can make long range shots and Kennard is one of the top three-point threats in the class."
Luke Kennard is Duke's first commitment in the 2015 class.
