A 6-foot-7 forward, Ahmad had a tremendous season. That saw his stock go up, and lots of offers his way, and the latest one being from a Big Ten power is especially intriguing.
"I have always liked Wisconsin," said Esa's father, Ibby Ahmad. "I like their style of play, Esa likes their style of play and he is friends with Nigel Hayes. We plan on taking a visit at some point as well as a few other Big Ten schools."
Wisconsin has had some major success recently with kids from Ohio, but Ahmad's father that isn't some that will be a major factor in his son's decision.
"We are more focused on style of play, who is coming in with Esa, and how he will fit in," said Ahmad. "It has to be a winning program, and preferably a place he can come in and make an impact. I think he can fit in any system, so it is just how he fits in with the coaches and players."
According to Ibby Ahmad, Esa would like to start making some visits in the not too distant future, and from there he hopes to have a decision following this AAU year, one in which he will suit up with All-Ohio Red.
