Stewart gets full release

Westchester (Calif.) High guard Elijah Stewart is now open. He was granted a full release from LMU on Wednesday.

LMU's top rated recruit – Elijah Stewart – was granted a full release from his Letter of Intent, according to a source.

Stewart, a 6-foot-4 lengthy wing, committed to LMU in late September and signed during the early signing period. Stewart asked for his release last week, shortly after the coach he signed with – Max Good – was fired.

A late bloomer, Stewart had a tremendous senior season, as he led Westchester (Calif.) High to the CIF Open Division Regional Final and a 30-7 record.

Stewart is an impressive athlete from the wing position, but where he impresses is with his all around scoring ability. Stewart is a good shooter out to 22-feet and is also effective making shots from mid-range.
