Goodin ready for big spring

As one of the most physically imposing guards in his class, Quentin Goodin is reeling in a lot of recruiting interest.

There aren't many more physically imposing guards than Campblesville (Ken) Taylor Co floor general Quentin Goodin. At 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, Goodin can really get to the rim, and feels that he is ready to take his game to a new level.

"From last year to this year I think we did good," said Goodin of his sophomore season. "We went like 25-7 and had a good season. We came up short of our goal, but hopefully we will get there next year."

In terms of his improvement as a player, Goodin said, "My game has come a long way. I know I still have a lot of work to do. In basketball there are always things you can work on."

Schools like Indiana, Michigan, Louisville, Tennessee, Oklahoma State, Purdue, West Virginia, Butler, and many others are recruiting Goodin.

While he has a long list of schools, Goodin says he feels that one school is recruiting him the hardest.

"The latest school to come in has been Creighton, and right now I would say that Michigan is recruiting me the hardest," said Goodin.

About the Wolverines, Goodin said, "I remember when they came to watch my game against Nelson Co, and I had a triple-double. After that I spoke with Coach (Jeff) Meyer on the phone and he wants me to visit and he said how he liked how I played, and we have stayed in touch since."

Another school that has been very active is Indiana. Goodin visited the Hoosiers this year, and liked what he saw from the Big Ten school.

"The visit to Indiana was fun," said Goodin. "I love how the crowd gets into the game and gets involved in the game. It was a great atmosphere there."

Currently Goodin is in no hurry to make his college choice, and plans to play out the summer and take more visits before coming to a decision.
