Diallo opens up recruitment

It's been an eventful morning for Cal. The Golden Bears have a new head coach, new center commitment and now a decommitment.

After the hiring of Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin and the ensuing commitment of Phoenix center Kingsley Okoroh, there was some more news for the California basketball program during an eventful Tuesday morning.

Los Angeles Cathedral center Idrissa Diallo, who signed with California in the fall, has reopened his recruitment, his coach announced on Twitter.

Diallo, a 6-foot-10, 220-pound prospect is Scout.com's 30th ranked center in the 2014 class.

"The recruitment for Idrissa Diallo will be reopened," Diallo's coach, William Middlebrooks tweeted. "New Cal staff will have equal opportunity to recruit (Diallo)."
